Lectures and Workshops

• Sisterspeak - our quilting journey. This is a trunk show in which Cathy and Sue take you on a fun tour of their learning experiences in the area of quilting.
• Altering Fabric - dyeing, printing, painting, batik "Making Blah Fabric Look Brilliant."  This is an exploration, with many examples, of the techniques of changing fabrics. We examine the use of painting, dyeing, hand batik, printing, discharging, and more.

	Bobbin Work** - sewing "upside down". You can use heavier thread to make designs stand out. Add texture and dimension to your quilts. Either learn the process with making samples, or make a project with a "Bag of Flowers".
	Fabric Printing** - you will learn the art of using found objects to print your fabric.  Especially fun and rewarding is printing with leaves, vines and feathers. This workshop can also be a a play time where you experiment with many different print styles, or choose one of two projects:  1) Printing a shirt or 2) Making background for appliqué.
	Mola Made Easy* - Learn a reverse technique to achieve striking results layering fabric.
	Postcards* - The newest craze in quilting is fun and fast! We will show you the ins and outs of making your own postcards that you can send in the mail for many different occasions, or form and exchange group with friends.
	Machine Trapunto** - Love those dimensional quilts you see in the shows?  We will teach you how to achieve beautiful results with an easy method of trapunto using your sewing machine.
	Wax Batik -

In addition to workshop or lecture fees, expenses to be reimbursed include travel and lodging.  We will be happy to stay with a guild member (non-smoker, no pets, please) if available to defer costs to the organization.  Contact us for lecture and workshop pricing.
